Thank you for your interest in our annual Community Arts Festival. Our focus is on sharing our gifts and would love for you to help us celebrate. We are not charging fees for display/performance areas but donations are accepted.
For assistance or more information, please contact our office during business hours, Monday-Thursday, 8-5 and Friday from 8-noon. Phone # 913-682-5374 or via e-mail at email@example.com.
All art must be created or performed by the artist – nothing pre-packaged or commercially produced. Applications are due April 25, 2019. Check in and set up is from 9-10am, Saturday, May 4th. Display areas will be approximately 10’ x 10’. Additional space up to 3 spots can be reserved per artist and must be requested in advance. Performance areas will be assigned to ensure there are no conflicts. Culinary arts will be organized in one area. Sale or serving of alcohol or tobacco products are prohibited. All sales and taxes are the responsibility of the artist. Tables provided but other display equipment must be supplied by the artist. Art with any obscenity or nudity is strictly forbidden. Artists are responsible for clean-up of their own area and will respect the property. First United Methodist will not be responsible for any damage to the art on display.
Schedules will be arranged for Performance Arts to provide a “special” performance in the sanctuary in 15-20 minute increments. In order to provide patrons and guests a guide, we request a list of art being displayed or performed.
We will market this Celebration through social media and through our congregation. We ask your help with publicizing to make it a great event.
No group, organization or individual (whether or not a church member is affiliated) shall use any church facilities in a manner that is in conflict with or contradicts the United Methodist Book of Discipline or the mission or principles of the church.
